If you aspire to be a citizen of a country you need to be very critical about filling out the citizenship form.  You need to take appropriate steps for a successful citizenship application. The information you provide should be correct. Incorrect information may lead to the rejection of the application. The first thing to do is to fill out the right form. The proper citizenship form for the citizenship application is the CIT0002.

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada write on its website “Applications received at our Case Processing Centre (CPC) in Sydney, N.S. March 1, 2021, or later must use forms from October 2020 or later (indicated on the lower left corner of the form),”
“Application forms that are not up-to-date will be returned as incomplete. IRCC does not consider the date of signatures or mailing to be a deciding factor.”

who are Eligible.

Applicants eligible for Canadian citizenship must:

  • be 18 years of age or older on the day they sign the application;
  • be a permanent resident (landed immigrant) of Canada,
  • have been physically present in Canada for at least 1,095 days in the five years immediately before they applied.

The applicants will also be required to submit personal income tax for at least three years within five years. They also need to show language proficiency in English and French. You can learn more about the language proficiency test and how to pass it here http://intrasource.ca/canada-approves-new-language-test/
Applicants also need to show that they have proper knowledge of Canada and the responsibilities and privileges of Canadian citizenship.

When using form CIT0002, applicants need to respond to all the required questions and provide supporting documentation when required.

Citizenship Applicants Can Use The Services Of An Official Representative

who are Representatives?

A representative is someone who has provided advice or guidance to you at any stage of the application process, whether that person received consideration (ie. compensation) or not,” notes the IRCC on its form IMM 5476.

“Following the submission of your application, that person may conduct business on your behalf with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) if you appoint them as your representative”.

While it’s the choice of the applicant the applicant needs to mention whether or not they seek the help of a representative.

In a bid to make the application process smoother, the Canadian government has now come up with an alternative to the physical certificate. The applicants can now get an e-certificate. It depends on their choice and requirements.

what are E-certificates?

E-Certificates are Now Available For Citizenship ApplicantsCitizenship certificates are either paper or electronic documents which prove a person’s Canadian citizenship. They are not travel documents.

Conclusion.

Canada is a great place to be. It has a plethora of opportunities. And addition to that the nation and its people are warm-hearted and welcoming. Canada is waiting to embrace you with its increasingly multicultural diversity.
